Maria Kao is an associate at Feldsott and Lee.

Ms. Kao earned her J.D. with a certificate of specialization in intellectual property from Whittier Law School, and her B.A. in English with a minor in Chinese Language and Literature from University of California, Irvine. During law school, Ms. Kao was active in various campus associations. Ms. Kao served as Treasurer for IP Society for two years, and was an active participating member of APALSA (Asian Pacific American Law Students Association) for three years.

Prior to joining Feldsott & Lee, Ms. Kao had extensive law clerk experience with companies such as Fox Cable Networks where she drafted licensing agreements and Biosensors International where she drafted opinion letters regarding patent infringement. Other law clerk experience include various positions involving civil litigation, particularly real estate matters, and patent prosecution.

Ms. Kao is also a member of various professional affiliations such as the Orange County Bar Association, Orange County Asian American Association, and Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association.

Additionally, Ms. Kao is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
